Afnan Historic Sahara, from the Historic collection, is a warm spicy-gourmand designed to be worn by everyone. Nutty, sweet and softly spiced, it wraps the skin in a comforting, dessert-like warmth that feels both inviting and refined, all at outstanding value. Composed by perfumer Imran Fazlani, it balances its praline-and-vanilla sweetness with a whisper of spice so it never feels flat or cloying. It is a cosy, moreish signature that comes into its own the moment the temperature drops.

Fragrance Journey

Top Notes: Cardamom, cinnamon and bergamot.

Heart Notes: Vanilla, elemi and sugar.

Base Notes: Praline, almond, tonka, ambroxan and musk.

The opening is warm and aromatic, with cardamom and cinnamon lifted by a touch of bergamot. The heart turns sweet and creamy as vanilla and sugar meet a hint of resinous elemi. The dry-down is the heart of the scent: nutty praline and almond folded into tonka, radiant ambroxan and clean musk for a cosy, long-lasting finish.

Performance

Longevity is strong, typically eight to ten hours on skin. Projection is warm and inviting in the opening hours before settling into a rich skin scent. Sillage is moderate to strong. It performs best in cooler weather and during the evening, when the gourmand base feels most at home. The sweet, spiced profile suits wearers from their late teens upwards.

As a sweet gourmand, the the heat can amplify the praline and vanilla, so keep to one or two sprays on hot afternoons. It shines in air-conditioned spaces, in the evening and during the cooler, drier season, when the nutty base blooms. During the humid rainy season keep it light to avoid heaviness. For daytime, a single spray reads soft and warm; for night, apply more for a rich, lingering trail.
