It opens warm and inviting, with bergamot lifting spicy cinnamon and cardamom. The heart turns creamy and smooth through vanilla and resinous elemi, before settling into a rich, sweet base of praline, tonka, candied almond and woods that lingers with depth.

Performance

As an eau de parfum, Monarque delivers strong longevity of around seven to nine hours, with moderate to strong projection early on and a warm, close sillage in the dry-down. It favours cooler evenings and air-conditioned settings, and suits a mid-twenties-plus wardrobe. Best worn in the evening and cooler months.
